Crazy for Bubbles
Life is so much more sane when it's warm and we can get outside and play. Almost every time we go outside Parker insists I blow bubbles. Prancer always thinks I'm blowing the bubbles so he can chase and eat them. Sorry the flash didn't take, but Prancer is about to snag a big bubble and Parker just loves watching it all.

Tryin' to Stay Warm
After Daddy got home from his fishing trip {yes, he drove an hour on the icy roads this morning to go fishing in 20 degree weather}, he built us a fire. Parker loves when Daddy makes fires! In fact, when Jered gets home from work in the evenings Parker runs to him yelling "fire" as soon as he walks through the door.

Parker Says...
This is the picture we're mailing out to our family tomorrow. I just put this picture in an envelope and mailed it. I think it speaks for itself!

A Sign of the Times
Today I {finally} started going through all the stuff I brought back home while helping my grandparents move a few months ago. Parker woke up from his nap in the middle of my rummaging and sorting and found a few things to play with. He's holding my first cell phone and loaded in his truck along with many pacis are a few beanie babies.

New Little Blessing
You never know how powerful a little pink line or three letter word can be until you see what I saw today. Obviously the faint, pale pink line wasn't enough for me to completely believe so I had to go digital, too.
I have had a pretty good idea that I was pregnant for at least a week. I've just felt different, of sorts, and not completely myself. Super tired, super hungry, pregnant. I never let Jered know any of this, so when he came home from work tonight he had a big surprise. I had Parker take Jered a gift bag and told him it was a late Christmas gift. Jered had no suspicions because on Christmas day I told him that he still had one more gift coming {and I still haven't gotten it}, so when he began taking the tissue paper out of the bag he had no idea what to expect. Much to his shock, he pulled out my two positive pregnancy tests. I have never seen my husband speechless...until now. I think it was a combination of complete and utter disbelief, happiness, fear, and probably about 20 other emotions all at the same time.
So the big question, was this planned? Kinda. Not really. We had talked about maybe starting to try in the next few months. God had different plans.
What have we learned through this? It only takes one time, Santa sure does bring some amazing gifts on Christmas Eve {if you catch my drift}, and God's timing and plans are always perfect. According to my calculations, our little one will be arriving sometime in September.
For this new little blessing we are truly grateful.

Happy New Year
I made two resolutions this year. First, I plan to read my Bible every day so that I can read the entire Bible by the end of the year. Second, I am writing in a journal every day for Parker. Every evening I record in the journal something Parker did that day. It might be something that made me laugh, a new word or skill he mastered, or just a memory I don't want to forget. My hope is that this journal will bring Parker much joy and many wonderful memories for years to come.
